Happy Easter

As always I am completely mystified by how quickly time can pass. This year has really been an adventure for me with the move to Texas and the kids staying behind in Alabama while I settle on a house and schools. I'm so excited to say I finally found the perfect place for us to live. It's close to work, the schools are good and it's a brand new house. This is a first for me and tomorrow the construction starts!!! Of course I will be taking pictures and journaling the whole experience.

I don't get much time to do anything crafty. My stuff is spread out in a thin layer across San Antonio and even back in Alabama. I have a hard time being creative when I have to get things out and set them up before I can start. I always want to get right in there and get my hands "dirty". Last week I was actually able to do some stamping. I made Easter cards! It was lots of fun. Enjoy!

Yet another new chapter

My life has been FULL of changes this year. In the Spring I was teaching preschool and had a class full of six of the cutest little 4 & 5 year olds. I also started Montgomery Adventure Boot Camp where I ultimately lost THIRTY pounds in preparation to go back to Sea World as an animal trainer. Even at 37 years old my vanity kicked in and I didn't want ot be the old, fat lady in the wetsuit. It felt so good to get into shape! I even ran my very first 1/2 marathon in November. Wow! What a rush.

I'm sure the next year will be full of exciting and new things as well. Right now I'm in San Antonio trying to figure out where I want to live and where I want the kids to go to school. It's a daunting task. So many variables to take into consideration. Meanwhile I LOVE what I do and go into work everyday excited to see the next challenge. The kids will be here before I know it so I have to take full advantage of the time I have and really spend time getting to know San Antonio.

Here's Jake and I right after he turned THIRTEEN. Wow. I'm not sure I'm ready to be the mom of a teenager. Guess I don't have much of a choice. :) We are both in our bare feet and I've had several checkups this year for my job and at all of them they have told me I'm 5'11". All I can say is WOW!!!

Here's a picture of Brenna at Breakfast with Santa. She was so thrilled to be there. It was just magical watching her. When good old St. Nick arrived he walked around the restaurant and greeted his guests. Brenna was thrilled to get a hug. Next he read a story to the kids then invited each one to visit with him and tell him what they were hoping to find under the tree on Christmas morning.

Thanks for stopping by!
